March 14-15, 2025
Forest Hills Mennonite Church
100 Quarry Road, Leola, Pennsylvania
Join us for the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Assembly weekend! Assembly is for anyone interested in learning and talking together about what church is and how we do faith together. Its a change to hear what other ACC communities are working on, wrestling with, and trying together. Its a chance to listen and tell stories about how we’re aspiring and working out vibrant Jesus-centered lives and communities.
This year’s theme is Looking back, Living Forward, where we join the celebration of Anabaptism at 500 and explore together what it means to remain a dynamic faith community together.
We hope you and your families will join us for the weekend’s gatherings!
Friday Night virtual gatherings
Friday, March 14, 7 – 8:30pm
Assembly kicks off with a Friday night virtual keynote with ACC Pastor and MC USA Moderator Jon Carlson on Anabaptism as a reconciling movement. Anabaptism has changed significantly over the past 500 years and we excitedly look forward to what God has for his dynamic faith community over the next 500 years.
Everyone who registers will have access to the virtual gathering. But we encourage congregations or small groups to host local gatherings to watch the session and discuss together. Questions will be provided to lead group discussion.
Saturday sessions @ Forest Hills
Saturday, March 15, 9am – 3pm
Saturday’s in-person sessions will continue the celebration of Anabaptism at 500 with an opening time of worship and participation in remembering the history, legacy, and evolving identiy of Anabaptism.
Saturday’s delegate session will focus on the business of conference life and give delegates a greater familiarity with ACC congregations and our conference community. This session and delegate voting will be available virtually as well.
After lunch we invite you to choose from a selection of workshops and discussions, each involving some aspect of our evolving ministries and desire to remain dynamic faith communities.
Look for updates on workshops in the coming weeks.
Assembly
is for kids too!
Saturday, March 15, 9am – 3pm
We’re excited to again offer a program for kids ages K-5! Just like the adult program, the kids program will run from 9am to 3pm and feature games, crafts, songs and snacks.

Delegates
We welcome both delegates and non-delegates to all parts of the upcoming Assembly weekend. However, only delegates will vote during Saturday’s delegate session.
Delegates, together called ACC’s Delegate Council, is the primary decision-making body of the conference with final responsibility and authority. Delegates are expected to 1) speak for their congregation to the Delegate Council, 2) interpret conference work and program back to their congregations, and 3) serve as an ongoing connecting point between your congregation and other ACC member congregations.
Our hope is that each congregation identifies at least one member of your congregation to join your pastor in serving as a representative delegate.
ACC’s bylaws designate delegates as:
- Those delegates selected annually by ACC member congregations with a maximum of two delegates for the first 100 members and one delegate for each additional 100 members or fraction thereof. Each congregation is permitted one youth delegate, in addition to the prior listed delegates. Delegates will be members in good standing of affiliated congregations.
- Ordained and licensed ministers with active service assignments recognized by the ACC.
- Members of ACC standing committees and their chairpersons.
- Executive Committee members of the ACC.
- Representatives of the Conference Related Ministry Council (CRMC) as appointed by the Executive Committee.
- All staff persons, including Conference Ministers, will participate with the Delegate Council as non-voting members.
When possible we recommend that congregations build delegate roles into established leadership selection processes to help communication and connection in their roles.
