Fall Youth Retreat 2024

ACC youth groups are invited to the 2024 Fall Youth Retreat at Refreshing Mountain. The weekend will include daily worship and resoure times, elevated obstacle course, nighttime ultimate frisbee and trivia.

This year’s Fall Youth Retreat will focus on the theme of “Recognizing Jesus.” Using the story of Jesus’ encounter with the disciples on the road to Emmaus as a reference point, we will hear personal stories from ACC leaders about their own experiences encountering Christ and receiving guidance, spiritual growth, and healing.

Rev. Liz Fulmer (she/her) will lead our worship times this year. Liz is a pastor and musical storyteller serving Grandview Church in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Trained as a songwriter and vocal principle at Berklee College of Music and spiritually formed through the care and teaching of Lancaster Theological Seminary, Fulmer is passionate about facilitating divine encounter through the blending of breath, music, word, and community. A multi-instrumentalist, she has 3 albums of original music: Heaven Knows (2016), Ellipsis (2018), and The Bible Tells Me So (2023). Liz has been a guest lecturer at Millersville University and Lancaster Theological Seminary, teaching on the craft of songwriting and how to effectively combine music and visuals to create accessible and meaningful worship experiences. She was ordained in 2020 by the Movement of Inclusive Methodists. Liz feels called to the work of sacred space-making.

Forms:

1. Registration Form: submit to the ACC office with payment by August 28th (form may be emailed to Brook Musselman by the 28th, check should be received prior to the retreat)
2. Activities Release & Waiver Form: Camp requires this form to use the facilities. Should be handed in for each youth at registration on Friday night.
3. Medical Release Form: To be kept with youth leaders in the event that one of your youth would require medical assistance during the weekend. This is a template for you to use.
4. Congregational Youth Event Verification form: must be signed by youth leader/chaperones after the necessary clearances have been filed with the church. Should be handed in by registration on Friday night. Please fill this out completely!
5. Youth Events Volunteer Covenant: To be signed by a congregational representative after the necessary clearances for each youth leader attending the Fall Retreat have been filed with the church. Must be submitted to ACC Office prior to the retreat.
